Volunteer with Onslow Victims Center
Thank you for your interest in supporting survivors in our community. Volunteers play a vital role in helping us fulfill our mission of providing safety, advocacy, and hope for individuals impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
Whether you're looking to serve directly with clients or support our team through events and operations, your time and talents are truly valued.
Current Volunteer Needs
We are currently accepting volunteers for the following roles:
Hospital Advocate
Trained advocates respond to hospitals or law enforcement agencies when a survivor initially seeks help. Advocates offer emotional support and help survivors navigate the medical exam, evidence collection, and reporting process. Evening and night availability required. Training provided.
Thrift Store Volunteer – Finders Keepers
Support our thrift store by receiving and organizing donations, pricing items, and maintaining a clean, welcoming space. All store proceeds directly fund client services at OVC.
Community Outreach Volunteer
Assist with educational events, awareness campaigns, and public engagement. Duties may include tabling at local fairs, distributing materials, helping with fundraising efforts, or supporting special projects.
Special Projects Volunteer
Volunteers with unique skills (graphic design, photography, data entry, etc.) or limited availability can support seasonal drives, campaign prep, or administrative tasks.
